Mr. Michael Willcockson, a representative of
James Wood AutoPark, Inc.,
was on hand with a dozen fabulous custom trucks
being displayed at
the entrance to the WCJCR.

Pontiac,

pre-owned vehicles in the U.S.
Upon hearing official results, he awaits to congratulate
Champion Wesley Brunson.
The Champion Wesley Brunson recieved $32,000
in cash and prizes. Prizes consisting of a customized
Bloomer trailer, custom Billy Cook saddle, and
a custom GIST Belt Buckle.

The World Championship Junior Calf Roping would

Keeping with the Texas tradition of hospitality and friendliness, all contestants and their
families were treated to a free catfish feed Friday night. Saturday breakfast was provided by Owens Sausage and for lunch
they enjoyed Texas Tamales, barbecued brisket, smoked turkey and pork loin, hot dogs, desserts, watermelon, and cold
beverages. Every contestant was also presented a free souvenier t-shirt of the event.
For the Friday nite "Tieing From the Post" 150 pounds
of catfish was cooked up by Tim Kootz,
Mr.and Mrs. Jim Paddock and served up with
pounds of hushpuppies and fries!
On the morning of the WCJCR with sausage biscuits
furnished by the great folks of Owens
and with griddle fired up, Gary
and Page Sampley
served up sausage
biscuits, pancakes
and coffee to start the day.
With smoker in tow, Ernest Paul Pewitt BBQ
provided some of the best BBQ brisket in
the world!
